Subsea Chemical Storage

Chemical Storage & Fluid Transfer

Kraken Subsea has a number of subsea fluid storage systems capable of storing up to 40m³ of fluid in pressure compensated collapsible reservoirs. These systems utilise Kraken Subsea’s DNV compliant lifting frames which have been designed to accept modular inserts, allowing for quick and easy change out of internal modules. The lifting frame in this configuration provides a protective cage for safe deployment and recovery of the chemicals within internal reservoirs. It is utilised for injection and/or recovery of fluids to and from subsea equipment.

Additional optional features can be added to the system if required such as flowmeters to show the flowrate and total volume entering or exiting the reservoir.

Features

Modular Design

Our larger capacity units have been designed to allow for operational versatility and system interchangeability allowing modules to be replaced with subsea pumping systems, sampling systems, flowmeters, data logging units and more.

Data Logging

Electronic components can be incorporated into some of the larger systems to allow for recording and logging of injected fluid to allow for complete visibility in the subsea operation.

Chemical Compatibility

All our pressure compensated reservoirs have been tested and proven with a number of common industrial chemicals and fluids including, but not limited to; dyes, biocides, oxygen scavengers, various hydrotest cocktails, MEG, methanol, fresh water and salt water.
