FILTER DESIGN
Kraken Subsea design and build free-flooding filters used to prevent the ingress of unwanted particles into a pipeline during subsea flooding operations. These filters can be used to flood pipelines after lay, during lay, on ROV skids or in subsea pumping skids.
CUSTOM & STANDARD DESIGNS
BESPOKE FILTRATION REQUIREMENTS
These filters are ideally suited to filtering water entering a pipeline during laydown/installation.
Kraken Subsea is able to design and supply free-flooding filters for any size workscope.
Typical filter designs comprise of a 20 - 50 micron filter. These filters can also be designed and supplied to suit variable flowrates depending on the operation being undertaken.

At Kraken Subsea we realise the importance of pipeline stability during lay and that it can sometimes mean a requirement to free-flood whilst the pipeline is being laid.
We have developed and are able to supply free-flooding skids that can be tailored to your system's lay rate and can offer chemical injection functionality to allow for peace of mind that your system is protected.

DEVELOPMENT OF FILTRATION SKID SOLUTIONS
We are also able to produce free-flooding skids that can flood your pipeline and/or bundle system if it has already been laid dry.
These filtration skid solutions can be designed to minimise flow restrictions so that a required flooding rate can be achieved and residual air in the pipeline / bundle system is reduced. This can be optimised depending on pipeline elevation profiles.
EASY TO DEPLOY
DIVER & ROV BASKET INSTALLABLE
Our filters are typically designed with several mounting options available for use. This allows the system to be installed within an ROV/diver work basket easily allowing for a reduction in required deck space along with reducing the need for unfamiliar lifts.
Although we do have "standard" flooding skids, we can flexibly adapt our design to meet any additional constraints you might have. Whether that is limited space within a structure, limitation on weight due to ROV capabilities or any other challenges, we tailor our solution to suit your needs.
